One Last Hurrah Before Summer Ends! | Chattanooga, TN Walk-In Clinic
The team at AFC Urgent Care Chattanooga cannot even believe we are back on the conversation of “going back to school.” Where, oh, where did the summer go? It seems as if it went as fast as it arrived.
However, there are still a few days left to enjoy the summer before school begins. Take advantage of some of the events going on at local places right here in Chattanooga.
Fun in the City
Eating out is a main attraction for many families, especially since dinner time seems to be the only opportunity for quality time together during a crazy day. While eating is necessary to maintain our health, it is also important to choose the right foods to fuel our bodies. Look for restaurants that offer locally grown, wholesome food options—there are a ton in our area!
Also, seize the opportunity to visit our local farmers markets and load up on fresh, healthy goodies. The Chattanooga Market even provides a weekly opportunity to wander and explore foods and other items as a family.
But before you get a bite to eat for supper as a family, you’re going to want to burn some energy in order to work up an appetite. Fortunately, there are many activities going on in Chattanooga all the time.
For example, the Creative Discovery Museum is continuing its extended hours until August 6 in order for kids to enjoy a variety of activities, including learning about the importance of bees and how hard they work, discovering ways to make healthy snacks using fresh ingredients, and exploring the tasks of being a doctor. After running from one exhibit to the other, your family is sure to be ready for a healthy dinner out!
Of course, no day is complete without taking a stroll around Coolidge Park. Here, you can take a moment before the sun goes down to throw a frisbee, take a walk around the water and just enjoy some quiet time before your family has to call it a day.
